Jen Schier is a graphic artist with an educational background in the history of art as well as digital art and design. In recent years, she has concentrated on illustration and various forms of printmaking — particularly relief printing methods such as wood andlinocut, block-printing, and screen-printing. She works with paper goods as well as textile design.
Her work generally explores the female form, often presenting nudes in a vivid and colourful way. Her pieces carry themes of body positivity and self-love, sometimes with botanical elements and surrealist ideas tied in.
Jen’s work often expresses intersectional feminist ideas, and uses bold palettes and vibrant designs. She intends that her pieces work to uplift and support women, while de-stigmatizing and de-sexualizing the female body. She is continually honing her illustration skills and exploring various artistic media and techniques.
