Chad Coombs is a visual creator who dislikes the term artist. His belief is to create visual stimulations that he hopes will cause the viewers to think, feel or at least react. He prefers for the viewer to create the final narrative for themselves, an evolving method that prevents any visuals from being definitive or final. Leaving most of his works “untitled” aids in this process and abstaining from “artist statements” in a belief that the viewers reasons and thoughts are as powerful and as important as his own. Most of Chad's visual creations are centered around the human or animal form. This is rooted in his relatability and curiosity which is seen throughout his Single Line work. Chad presents joyful moments and poses in abstract minimalistic nature. Like moments puzzled in time, they waiting for their viewer to insert their thoughts to tie it all together.
